Material behavior
PVA fibers are hydrophilic and can develop strong interaction with a cementitious matrix. In engineered high-ductility systems, fiber dimensions, strength, modulus, surface treatment, matrix fracture properties and dispersion are designed together.
When specifiers consider PVA
PVA is not a drop-in substitute for PP, steel or AR glass. It is selected as part of a deliberately proportioned cementitious composite.
